Andrew completed his medical degree at Melbourne University in 1991. Following this he did 2 years of surgical training at St Vincent's, Melbourne, before working as a resident at SWHC and then completing his GP training at Timboon and The Cambourne Clinic.

He completed his FRACGP in 1996, and has subsequently also completed a Certificate in Primary Skin Cancer Medicine.

Andrew is an accredited supervisor for the Royal Australian College of General Practice.
