Dr Celine Yao

Originally from Singapore, Celine moved to Melbourne in 2012 to undertake her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedicine and subsequently Doctor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne. Following a fantastic clinical placement with the Geriatrics team at South West Healthcare, she took a leap of faith and relocated to Warrnambool for her internship to further her interest in becoming a rural GP. Since then, she has also completed her residency year at SWHC.

Celine has completed the Sydney Child Health Program through Westmead Children’s Hospital & University of Sydney and the RACGP Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) GP Education Program.

In her spare time, Celine enjoys making music and having leisurely walks along the beach. She also enjoys meeting and teaching the medical students at Deakin University Warrnambool.

In addition to English, Celine also speaks Mandarin.
