Dr Kate Carison

Kate completed her MBBS at Melbourne University in 2004 with an honours year (B Med Sci) in Adolescent Psychiatry through Orygen, formerly MH SKY. After graduating from Medicine she worked at the University Hospital Geelong, The Royal Children's Hospital and the Monash Medical Centre. Kate moved to the Warrnambool practice in 2009.

Kate has since done extra studies in sexual health completing a diploma of family planning and sexual health through Family Planning Victoria, and Focussed Psychological Skills training through the RACGP. She has enjoyed teaching medical students and has been a Senior Clinical Lecturer at Deakin University and continues to have an active supervision role of General Practice Registrars. Kate is also a member of the Australian Professional Association of Transgender Health.

When not working she enjoys spending time with her young family and exploring Warrnambool's beautiful scenery.
